Benitez_2935072A managerial merry-go-round is in the offing this summer and Radio Marca journalist Anton Meana is certain that former Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti will become the next Real Madrid boss, which adds weight to the theory that Jose Mourinho will be returning to Stamford Bridge.

If an outfit like Real Madrid come calling it would be hard for any manager to resist such is the magnitude of the club and it’s likely Ancelotti would make the switch despite Paris Saint-Germain’s protestations.

Meana also claims that the French club would be the perfect destination for outgoing Rafael Benitez, currently the interim boss at Chelsea, which would complete a convenient cycle of managers between the three clubs.

Speaking on talkSPORT’s Richard Keys and Andy Gray show, the Marca Journalist said:

“I think Paris will be a good option for Rafa Benitez.

“If Ancelotti goes to Real Madrid, it would be a good destination for Rafa.”

Managers seem to be taking the spotlight over the players at the moment and they’re speculated over in exactly the same way. We’ve already seen the furore following Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, David Moyes being named as successor and his replacement at Everton is yet to be announced. Manchester City decided to part company with Roberto Mancini yesterday evening and will represent an attractive prospect for many managers, perhaps Manuel Pellegrini, and there’s also the future of Jupp Heynckes to mull over as he’s set to be replaced by the returning Pep Guardiola.

One thing is clear. Real are looking at other managers as they seek to replace Mourinho, perhaps they will drop their demands over a buyout which would clear the way for the 50-year-old to rejoin his former club Chelsea.
