Jose MourinhoIt would be difficult to think of a worst kept secret in football than Jose Mourinho’s expected return to Chelsea football club and reports suggest that he’ll make his way to London within the next fortnight.

The Daily Star, amongst others, claim that Mourinho will fly to the English capital on June 2nd and sign a four-year deal worth a whopping £250,000-a-week, which is three times the amount he was paid during his first stint at Stamford Bridge.

He must be keen if that’s the case as it would be only a day after his final match as Real Madrid manager against Osasuna. The report goes onto say that he will be joined by Rui Faria and goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.

It’s a quick move but Mourinho already purchased a house in the capital last year and a city he belongs in. There is no indication on when he is to be formally announced as Chelsea’s new manager but it would probably be that week as the club will aim to get as much media exposure as possible.

Once that has been dealt with it will put a fair amount of speculation to bed, only for attentions to be drawn towards the potential ins and outs at the club as well as the preparation of the existing squad ahead of the new season.

It has already been suggested that Mourinho could have had a hand in Frank Lampard’s contract extension whilst reports are also circulating that he may want to be shot of Fernando Torres, who managed just 8 goals in 36 Premier League games this season. I don’t know about that but I’d bet that he’s made the hierarchy aware of his ideas already.

What do you think Mourinho has planned and what changes (if any) would you like to see at the club this summer? – Have your say in the comments section below.
