Hamburg will ‘have to sell’ Chelsea target if he doesn’t sign a new deal
The versatile forward has enjoyed a good season for Thorsten Fink’s side this season and has scored 11 goals in 30 games but the 20-year-old may see his future away from Hamburg as contract talks have stalled with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season.

This will likely attract the attention of a long list of clubs that are interested in acquiring the player’s services, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Dortmund. His agent Thies Bliemeister has also claimed that United and Chelsea in particular have already lined up bids for Son.
For all of Chelsea’s work with the Asian Star programme and the pre season tours in the Southeast Asia tours, the Blues don’t have any players from that continent in the squad and are definitely missing a trick when it comes to breaking that market, especially with talented players like Son out there.
The Korean became the fourth Asian player to reach double digits in Europe’s top three leagues when he scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season in the 2-1 win against Mainz last month. He’s also received high praise from the likes of Franz Beckenbauer and has been affectionately nicknamed ‘Korean Müller’.
Son is rated at around £10 million by his club and could represent a worthwhile investment when taking his talent, potential commercial value and versatility are taken into account as he can play anywhere along the forward line, mostly featuring as either a forward or a right winger.
