An own goal by Cesar Azpilicueta gave Paolo Di Canio’s side the advantage at the beginning of his reign as Sunderland manager but the Blues fought back to claim all three points at Stamford Bridge.
It wasn’t pretty and the goals were fortuitous but the three points are all that matters as Chelsea bid to stake a claim the Premier League’s top four.
