Chelsea are to sign a formal agreement with La Liga outfit Malaga which will see the two clubs link-up following Lucas Piazon’s recent loan to La Rosaleda this season.

The Brazilian youngster has made two assists in his 11 games for the Spanish club and has impressed the clubs hierarchy, who would love to have him back next season and it could be the start of a relationship between the two clubs according to Marca. It is the start of what Malaga’s Sporting Director Mario Husillos has described as an ‘important agreement’ between themselves and the West London club.

Malaga’s financial issues and UEFA ban are well documented so it may be more beneficial for them to loan a few of Chelsea’s promising young talents instead of extending all nine of the contracts that they have for players due to expire at the end of this season, whilst it would suit the Blues as it would provide playing experience in a top league with a great playing style for the youngsters.

This wouldn’t be an uncommon practice for a London club as Arsenal already have links with Real Betis whilst Tottenham announced the beginnings of a ‘strategic partnership’ with Real Madrid following the sale of Luka Modric, which just sounds like a nice way of saying feeder club to be honest and I expect to see Gareth Bale in the white of Los Blancos at some point in the future.

Anyway, the Blues have been linked to both Manuel Pellegrini and Malaga’s star play-maker Isco this season, I guess it wouldn’t harm their approach for the duo if there was an agreement setup between the two clubs. Pellegrini has been the most strongly linked to the Chelsea job aside from former manager Jose Mourinho and his attacking style may appeal to Roman Abramovich.
