01torresChelsea are willing to cut their losses on Fernando Torres and will accept a bid of around £15 million, £35 million less than they signed him for, according to the Daily Express.

The Spaniard would have no right to blame his Stamford Bridge nightmare on anyone other than himself as the club has done practically everything to help the forward and have even invested heavily on creative talent in order to improve his form in front of goal. The fans have also shown the former Liverpool man plenty of patience, more than I’ve ever seen afforded to a player that has been dreadful for so long, and he couldn’t begin to pay them back.

It has been reported that Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala are willing to end Chelsea’s misery and take the player of our hands at the end of the current Premier League season. But it’s also thought that he would prefer a move back to Spain and a potential swap deal for Radamel Falcao has been mentioned in the past, but I reckon it is unlikely even though it’d be ideal.

The Express quoted a source that’s allegedly close to club owner Roman Abramovich:

“Roman will now sell Torres – if he can get the right offer.”

At this stage even getting someone to take his wages on is enough of an ask without even demanding some sort of fee so I cannot help but think that he is going to be incredibly hard to shift. The fee isn’t the important thing here, it’s just getting him off the books as he’s costing millions for every season he’s around.

It’s a pity it didn’t work out and I would love to know the truth about his departure from Liverpool as it’s alleged that they knew they were selling a dud and conned us out of £50 million, but one thing is for sure, he has no future at the club and it shouldn’t be allowed to drag on as it isn’t good for him and more importantly it is bad for Chelsea…especially when he’s defending for the opposition as he did on Thursday night.
