Chelsea Football Club have announced that they have agreed a deal for the transfer of Wallace in the January transfer window, although he’ll remain with Fluminense until the summer.
The club’s official website describes the Brazilian youngster is an attacking right-back and has helped his side win the Brazilian league, Rio State League and Guanabara Cup. He also played in the same Brazil squad as Lucas Piazon when they won the South American under-17 Championship last year.
It’s a transfer that comes as no big surprise as the Blues have had a stake in the player ever since Deco transferred to Fluminense in the summer of 2010.
Wallace is an exciting young prospect and I hope he’ll end up being the next Dani Alves (not in terms of personality though) and he will join our existing Brazilian contingent with Oscar, David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazon.
