Football legend Ronaldo (the real one) believes that his countryman Neymar can become the world’s best player, even better than Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Pele keeps going on about Neymar and how he’s not ready to go to Europe and isn’t able for the physical English league but going to Europe as a youngster didn’t do Ronaldo any harm, and he argues that the Santos forward should leave as soon as possible to develop his game.
Speaking at the Leaders in Football event held at Stamford Bridge, Ronaldo said:
“I would advise Neymar to come to Europe as soon as possible, where he would be the best in the world.
“Logically, Messi is better right now but Neymar is a great talent who will show the world that he will be number one.
“I advise him [Neymar] to go as soon as possible because to be number one you have to go to Europe.”
There’s a whole host of clubs that are interested in the 20-year-old’s signature, including Barcelona, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Neymar linked up well with Oscar during Brazil’s 6-0 victory over Iraq last night and added a beauty himself (check out the video below), could we see them linking up at club level at some point in the future?

All I read is useless unthought of comments from glory hunters. You people must be kidding to think the club will buy both Neymar and Falcao! The club already spent alot during the summer which is close to a 100mil. To spend another 100 is stupid. Roman wants Chelsea to become dependent on it’s own earnings. Besides,the squad is doing well in the Premier League so far and should reach the quater-final or semi-final of the UCL this season. The sensible option would be to buy Neymar and let him develop with the current youngsters his age to grow and dominate English and European football for the next 3-5 seasons. Falcao would only be a short term option and is in my opinion only a luxury because of his current form. Cavani was once also a luxury option for plastic fans who get sucked into media speculation. Wasn’t Cavani also just a few months ago planted in everybody’s head? Please look at the current squad and most importantly,think of FFP.

However, in relation to Neymar, who is to be the face of his home World Cup and to be a star for club as well as country, what his worth in marketing alone would more than pay his fee over the duration of his contract.
Chelsea have already spent a lot of money, a lot of which was earned by winning the Champions League, so as long as we’re competitive on the big stage we can compete for top talent. And as a big club, we’re an attractive prospect.
