Chelsea new boy Oscar could make his debut on against Wigan on Sunday as he’s finally with the squad following his Olympic Games commitment with the Brazilian national team.

Roberto Di Matteo’s side have a clean bill of health, with the exeption of Marko Marin who is still struggling with injury. The manager hinted that Oscar could play and it could be at the expense of Juan Mata, who looked tired during the Community Shield last weekend and is in need of rest.

Di Matteo said:

“We only have Marin out injured, everybody else is okay. In terms of the new signings, Oscar has finally joined us after his Olympic Games and they are all available for Sunday.

“Oscar has only been in the building for a day and a half, so we will see. I still have to think about it for Sunday, but there will be plenty of time to play.”

On Mata, he added:

“He has had a long summer but I will factor in a break for him at some point because it’s important.

“He won’t be able to go through the whole year like this. We will have to plan it intelligently.”
