UEFA has reduced John Terry’s three-match ban from European competition following Chelsea’s appeal.

The England international will still serve a three game suspension but the third game has now been deferred for a probationary period of three years. Terry picked up the ban when he was sent off against Barcelona at the Camp Nou for an off-the-ball challenge on Alexis Sanchez.

He served the first match of his suspension by missing out on the Champions League final in Munich and will also sit out when we meet Atletico Madrid in the Super Cup on August 31st in Monaco, so will be available for Chelsea’s first game in the Champions League group stage.
