Chelsea have wasted no time in the transfer market despite having no permanent manager at the helm of the club after signing Marko Marin and the highly sought after Eden Hazard (as confirmed by the player himself), could they complete an incredible hat-trick by bring Porto’s Hulk to Stamford Bridge?

The Blues enjoyed a historic season by winning the FA Cup and Champions League but despite this they have fallen some way behind the Manchester clubs in the Premier League and Roman Abramovich is looking to build a new look attack to ensure Chelsea continue to dine at the top table in England’s top flight, as well as in Europe.

Hulk’s buyout clause stands at €100m but we’re obviously not going to pay that and it’s rumoured that the only thing that is holding up the deal is the difference of opinion between the clubs over his valuation, but the player is said to be keen on moving to Stamford Bridge and there are many that believe a deal can and will be struck.

The Brazilian forward’s agent Teodoro Fonseca recently revealed that several clubs are interested in Hulk but highlighted Chelsea as a frontrunner but we could face competition from Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho has been keeping an eye on the player, according to Fonseca, who said:

“Jose Mourinho was not there for a stroll.

“Mourinho was in Hamburg to see several players and, of course, he also went to see Hulk. It was he who stood out.”

(Daily Mail)

Hulk can play as a striker but mostly plays on the wing, which is most likely where he’ll play should he come to Chelsea…unless Fernando Torres goal-shy form continues over another season. Hulk scored 21 goals and made 15 assists in 38 games in the Portuguese league.

Would you like to see Hulk join the likes of Hazard, Mata, Marin and Torres in Chelsea’s attack? With his skill and physique, is Hulk build to play in the Premier League? Have your say in the comments section below.

I’m happier we should have Hazard. Hulk would be a great purchase but a luxury buy if you ask me. No doubt he could add to the team, particularly with his mixture of right attacking/wing or out and out striker but we could happily cope without and that may help bring the great youth prospects we have on. I can’t help but think the Club merely want to keep options open until Hazard signs and the buy goes formal. With Hazard supposedly in the bag, we all know we’d rather a new right back and midfielder. That said, like all, I would like to see Hulk in a Chelsea shirt but won’t be too disappointed if not and the money could be silly eh.

we need a good right bck and d formation should be 4.2.3.1. Hulk wil be a wonderful signing and all those talk about modric should be a thing of d past. We dnt wana hav our new manager gamble to suit alot of new inflow of player and leave us with nothing next season due to long time experiment. Cole, terry, ”luis, cahill and ivanovic” (should fight for that center back) then any good right back. lampard should play a deeper midfield role with mikel or ramires. Mata, hulk, marin and hazard an option for the three that wil supply torres. Essien, malouda, hilario, should join kalou and bosingwa to the exit
