Chelsea have the chance to gain some ground on the teams above them if they can beat relegation candidates QPR but have something of a defensive crisis as David Luiz and Gary Cahill are out injured, whilst Branislav Ivanovic will sit out for the third and final game of his domestic suspension.
As for QPR, Adel Taarabt is suspended after he received a red card against Tottenham last weekend, Samba Diakite is a doubt due to illness and Djibril Cisse is nursing a knee problem.
