Gary Cahill will have to wait for his Chelsea debut as he has to make do with a place on the bench as Jose Bosingwa starts at right-back with Branislav Ivanovic moving into the midfield, which hasn’t gone down well judging by the comments I’ve seen on Twitter.

Firstly, Bosingwa has proved to be a defensive liability this season and has rightly been criticised. Also, I don’t really rate Ivanovic as a centre-back and would prefer him to play at fullback and see absolutely no reason as to why Cahill hasn’t been given a chance following John Terry’s absence through injury.

To end on a bright note it is good to see one of our youngsters make the bench tonight. Congratulations Lucas Piazon.

What do you think of the starting line-up and what are your predictions for tonight’s game?

AVB is a sturbon manager ! I don’t know what he sees in Bosingwa, may be because he is his country man.

  2. John adams says:

Why must cahill be on the bench again? Now that terry is nt in..obviously we will concede goals.cos bosingwa is a minus and iva is always too flat..chelsea should stop all this, coz there re causing players to be scared of coming to the club

just watched the first half and all the worries about Bosingwa, Malouda and Merieles are coming true, needs to change the team for the second half bringing on Essien and Cahill otherwise its another defeat i;m afraid, agree Bosingwa only plays because he;s portuguese because he can;t be first choice for any oher reason because he is crap!!

I am beginning to think that AVB is trying to get himself sacked so he can get the pay-off. Listen up, rather than sack you, you will simply be drafted to the ball boy’s department for the rest of your contract. This guy should be given a query to explain his selections.

What a shambles this Chelsea team is a mere shadow of the team Ancelotti had last year. How do you win a game when you don’t get any shots on target, you play without desire, pace and passion, Cole gets himself sent off with the frustration of the performance Chelsea are rapidly going downhill and what does AVB do F**k all

  8. Timlos says:

Roman should cash in all his investment NOW and let the club go into extinction so he can save us this agony and let AVB see if anyone will rate him above average again in his short career.

  9. Timlos says:

Transfer window is still open, pls buy at least Willian cos at this rate CL is not certain anymore. Infact it will be a miracle if we make Europa.

Mourinho should just show up and tell AVB to move aside. To start Malouda before Essien is a terrible decision. Cahill shoulda got some playing time instead of Bosingwa. Lukaku could have been subbed earlier. To be fair to AVB, the players are the ones who need to step it up, but his tactics and subs are questioning… Chelsea needs to pass, cross, and shoot the DAMN ball! Create a chance instead of a mess.
