Liverpool are ready to compete with Arsenal for the signature of Chelsea attacker Salomon Kalou, according to talkSPORT.
The 26-year-old is out-of-contract at Chelsea at the end of the season and Arsenal have been linked with a £3m swoop for the Ivory Coast star.
However, reports now claim that Liverpool are ready to throw their name in the hat for Kalou who has three goals from his eight appearances this season.
Kalou is currently away on international duty for the African Nations Cup.
