Fernando Torres has openly admitted that he has found it hard to adapt to life in Chelsea compared to when he arrived in Liverpool. He said:
“It’s been difficult for me to adapt here compared to when I arrived in Liverpool, a more comfortable place, smaller, where I was surrounded by Spanish team-mates.”
Is this the reason Chelsea are looking to bring in more Spanish players-to accommodate Torres or because they are simply more talented. Torres has looked much sharper and happier this season since the arrival of his Spanish companion Juan Mata and now Chelsea are looking to bring in two more gifted Spanish players to join the revolution.
According to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, both Santi Cazorla and Borja Valero are primary targets for the Stamford Bridge club. Both players were playing at Villarreal last season before Cazorla made the switch to Los Boquerones. The two could re-unite once again as Chelsea look to freshen things up. A bid of £35m should be enough to secure the pair.
Cazorla, 26, is a highly rated and talented player but it will take a lot for Chelsea to prize the Spaniard away. Cazorla moved to high-spending Malaga this past summer for £21m and it is hard to believe that Qatari investor Abdullah bin Nasser bin Abdullah Al Ahmed Al Than will let him go without putting up a fight. Valero made his move to Villarreal permanent after initially spending last season on loan. In what has been a struggling season for the Yellow Submarines, the 26-year-old creative midfielder has been a positive; he plays with a type of swagger that not too many midfield orchestrators possess. It would rub more salt in the wounds for fans and teammates if Valero were to leave El Madrigal.

we may be going too far to accommodate this player. besides shelling out 50m for him n his lucrative wages, now we are further trying to make him happy by bringin in more of his country men. what has he done to demand anything? now Cazorla is class, n i’m always happy to see great players arrive, but i think if FT doesn’t turn it around, we should cut our losses n accept any reasonable bids that come in for him.
