Carlo Ancelotti has advised Serie A champions AC Milan to look to Chelsea to bolster their attacking options, with Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka potential transfer targets.
The Italian coach has spent time in managerial roles at both clubs in the past, and has given Massimiliano Allegri’s team guidance in suitable new acquisitions.
The San Siro outfit are thought to be keen to sign a new striker as Antonio Cassano will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future due to a heart problem; Ancelotti feels the Stamford Bridge duo could fit in at the Italian champions.
“Certainly – they are great players in good physical condition,” Ancelotti stated in Mirror Football.
“They are players of great quality and attitude. I would see both of them fitting in very well at Milan – but that doesn’t mean that one of the two are going to go,” he stated.
Ancelotti has been out of work since being dismissed from the Stamford Bridge hotseat at the tail-end of last season, and despite being linked with a takeover at big-spending French club Paris St-Germain, has revealed that he wants another job in the Premier League.
“I want to stay in England,” he concluded.
