Former Chelsea player and manager Ruud Gullit has claimed that current Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is starting to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

Gullit landed Chelsea’s first trophy for 26 years when he won the FA Cup in 1997 and the Dutchman believes Villas-Boas is beginning to find his groove.

“He [Villas-Boas] has started to make a difference. Slowly, he is getting the team to play as he wants them to,” Gullit told Yahoo!.

“He is also trying to get some young players in there, he is playing more with Sturridge for example. He is trying to adapt the team and he is slowly improving things.”

Chelsea are currently third in the Premier League behind Manchester clubs City and United.
