Villas-Boas sets sights on Dortmund Youngster

Chelsea are tracking Borussia Dortmund youngster Ilkay Gundogan and will continue to do so throughout the season with the possible view of making a bid in the future.

The 20 year old German only joined the Bundesliga Champions this May from 1FC Nurnburg and has already made good impressions with his performances in central midfield at such a young age. He has represented Germany at all levels except at full international level although it is believed locally that he shall soon be brought on board.

Gundogan plays alongside Mario Gotze although we are led to believe the Stamford bridge club are focusing their attentions on the 20 year old midfielder as well as centre-back Neven Subotic.

Although a move for either in January is very unlikely it would appear that a bid for at least one of the two players next summer will be forthcoming.
