Video highlights from Chelsea’s final preseason friendly against Glasgow Rangers at Ibrox…

Rangers struck first when Nikica Jelavic headed a Steven Naismith cross past Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech, it was the first and only time that Andre Villas-Boas’ side had conceded during the preseason.

The Blues levelled the scoring in the 22nd minute of the game after Fernando Torres cross deflected into the path of Daniel Sturridge, who rifled the ball into the Rangers net with his right foot. Eight minutes after the equaliser, Sturridge nicked the ball past Gers’ Kirk Broadfoot and punished the home side by applying the finish.

Florent Malouda and Didier Drogba came on as second half substitutes for Chelsea and the pair combined for the Blues’ third goal. Drogba’s cheeky chipped pass landed perfectly on Flo-Mo’s head and he put the ball past Rangers keeper Allan McGregor.

Chelsea should have added a fourth after Drogba won a penalty for his side, but Frank Lampard’s uncharacteristically feeble spot kick was easily saved by McGragor.

Liked the pressing game, except Lamps doesn’t seem to have the legs to do it for more than an hour, so god knows how he’s going to cope if he plays every game.
