As Scott Parker looks certain to pack his bags and exit Upton Park, the speculation over his future destination has three clubs in the firing line as Aston Villa and Spurs will watch Chelsea join the battle to land their former middle man, according to People.co.uk.
Since signing for the hammers in 2007, Parker has sparked up the flame that appeared to have been blown out since his departure from Charlton in 2004.
It has been reported that Chelsea will view the situation where Michael Essien is concerned, as Blues’ officials fear he has once again wrecked an anterior cruciate ligament, and if the case could once again see him side-lined for a lengthy period.
The England international made only 28 appearances during his frustrating two years at Stamford Bridge. Six years after his departure he has been highlighted as the man to come in and make a shock return to West London.
The Daily Mail has pointed out Villa and Spurs are ready to step up their approach for the 30 year old, who is currently in Switzerland with the rest of Big Sam’s squad.
It is thought a deal will be wrapped up sooner than later as the three top flight clubs scrap it out to acquire his assistance, and he is set to fly back as soon as a concrete offer has been placed.
Parker is up for grabs for a measly £7m as West Ham look to offload his £80k a week wage bill. He would certainly be a fantastic addition to any squad, and he is thought to favour a move that will see him stay put in the Capital… Unlucky Villa fans, we shall see…
why parker of all midfielders in dis world,@ 30 i dont think dts a good replacement,we dont need bench warmers bt players who still gat a lot ahead of them, hes cheap @ £7m bt did dt really matter.ramires, mikel, josh are in.blues 4 life
ur rite dudy we don’t to add dat joke
Parker at 7m is cheap money but @30 years of age!we dont need a short term replacement.
Let it come to chelsea parker come come
well parker at the age of 30, is he a long term replacement or short term.. Lets be sincere we dont need someone at dat age to come chelsea, AVB go and find player at age of 20s.. We are preventing adage players then u want to sign another as replacement. If Essien become fit again can u give parker another chance to play again.. Up blues
Lets go for moutinho n modric
AVB should sign modric and moutinho they are good players
AVB please u have to sign moutinho and modric if u want success and long stay at chelsea. please u need to sign young blood from 18-20yrs not players with 30yrs of age, think wise
parker bottled it here before he’s not worth the risk at his age either let spuds have him they’ll need him with the way modric is going he either wont be there or will be acting lik he dosent want to be there.
Why buying Parker at 30 years who is of the same age with the current squard which fails to get silverwares last season.we are looking for AVB to off load all old aged players and now you talk of Parker again. Please buy Falcao,Aguero,Pastore,Modric,Tiote and Micah Richards
