Blues to sign young Barca midfielder

Chelsea are set to sign highly-rated Barcelona youngster Oriol Romeu after offering around €5 million for the 19-year-old, according to Sky Sports.

The defensive midfielder is a long-term target of Andre Villas-Boas’ and he reportedly tried to sign the player for Portuguese champions Porto before he made the move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Sources in Spain also say that Barca will have a clause in the deal which will allow them to sign the player back in 2013.
