Now that Chelsea have finally got a new manager in place they can finally get on with trying to close the gap between them and Manchester United. Sir Alex Ferguson has wasted no time this Summer and it looks as if this transfer window could been one of the busiest for a long time at Old Trafford, with the managerial limbo at Stamford Bridge however they clearly have some catching up to do. Whilst supposedly they made an offer for Luka Modric, and rumours abound that talks are ongoing with Romelu Lukaku as well as Brazillian sensation Neymar, it is probably not surprising that without a manager they have failed to complete any moves.

I think there is one player however that should be wrapped up as soon as possible, there have been suggestions flying around the back pages for about 18 months now about the possibility of Brazilian forward Hulk moving to the Premier League and I think now would be as good a time as any. The 24 year old is currently playing for Porto and has played under Boas, therefore even if interest did come from other clubs the possiblity of linking up with his former coach would surely not be one he would want to pass up.

The Chelsea squad needs a real overhaul, and there is evidence that the process has already begun, new faces such as Fernando Torres, Ramires, and David Luiz appear to be the future at Stamford Bridge and there are players that a few years ago were vital are now somewhat surplus to requirements. Players such as Nicolas Anelka, John Obi Mikel, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou and maybe even Didier Drogba are now looking less important to Chelsea.

It is a possibility that Roman Abramovich may have to do something that he isn’t used to doing and actually show some patience, the rebuilding of Chelsea won’t be done overnight, but it could be highly beneficial in the long term. Ferguson rebuilds his United squad every now and again and they may go a couple of years without a trophy, but it always pays off in the end. As this rebuilding continues I think Hulk is an absolute must.

The forward has scored 23 goals in 26 domestic games this season as well as laying on 13 goals for team mates, he has also managed to net 8 goals in European competition clearly a superb season for the 24 year old. Mostly playing from the right wing he would provide a real threat in the Premier League something that would only help the so far forlorn Chelsea striker Torres. His versatility is admirable, he is also adept at playing on the left or through the middle, and I think he has all the physical assets required to excel in English football, he has immense strength, pace, and a blistering strike, he has everything you need to score goals in the Premier League.

He has previously been linked with a whole host of English clubs, Tottenham have supposedly considered a move, as have Manchester United and Manchester City but the presence of Boas at Stamford Bridge would surely now make them favourites for his signature. Tabloid press reports have also linked Chelsea with Falcao, a team mate of Hulk at Porto but I still believe the Brazilian to be the better option.

Clearly this wouldn’t be a cheap move to finance, but according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Porto would accept around £35million for the goal machine and they also reckon that he is the new Chelsea man’s top priority. An outlay of £85million on 2 strikers over a period of about 6 months could be seen as excessive but I am sure it would reap rewards, and I am certain that Hulk would be somewhat of a super hero at the Bridge… you didn’t think i’d make it through without one joke about his name did you?

All we to buy this summer is a supporting striker(falcao),and a creative midfielder(modric),and a winger(neymar) thats if the coach wants to play a 4-3-3 formation which i would prefer cause it will make space for josh to prove him self, that kid to me is the future of england’s midfield.

i think that j. Mceachran should be given a chance on the left, sign sanchez 4 the right and pastore centre and falcao. Sell malouda, anelka, mikel n zhirkov.

Guys just imagine josh and modric in midfield! Thats xavi iniesta…josh is like xavi because of his good vision and passing skills,he knows how to pick out the strikers with great through balls.modric on the other hand is like iniesta cause his dribbling skills are exceptional, and he’s very creative…

Chelsea team as whole weak some how we have a good player that can do anything anytime we need it let leave the poor boy mikel remember mikel won a best ball passer in the beinging of the seassion before ancelotti start benching him for ramires chelsea should sign 1 creative midfelder and AVB should use mikel, josh and the other man so let see what we happen.
