Gokhan Tore has become the third Chelsea youngster to follow our former Sporting Director Frank Arnesen to the Bundesliga’s HSV Hamburg.

Michael Mancienne and Jacopo Sala have already completed their moves to the German club and there are rumours that Arnesen is interested in bringing Jeffrey Bruma, Gael Kakuta and even Josh McEachran to Hamburg.

It seems as though Arnesen has wasted no time in taking advantage of the current situation at managerless Chelsea, who do not seem to be putting up much resistance in keeping hold of their young talent, so there must be something more in this for the Blues, surely?

After several loan spells it was clear that Mancienne was never going to get this chance at Chelsea and Sala may never have got an opportunity either, but Tore is a player who is rated by many, including Guus Hiddink, who selected the 19-year-old for his last Turkey squad.

On Tore, Arnesen said:

“Gokhan is a young and extremely talented player, he is left-footed and an offensive [player].

“He is also a physically strong player with good vision. We must, and will, give him the necessary time he needs to continue his positive development in recent years.”

Good luck to all the lads that have departed the club, but will we live to regret letting any of them go? Only time will tell.
