It’s been a bit of slow summer so far for Chelsea, rumours have been rife even though we’re still without a manager and probably a little way of making a signing or two, but I wanted to know what you all thought of this latest link.
There have been several reports today linking us to Barcelona’s David Villa, who may have to be sold so that the Catalan club to pay for the transfer of Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas as Pep Guardiola is working to a strict budget and a large portion of it is expected to go on Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez and Villarreal’s Giuseppe Rossi.
It’s thought that Pep would rather not have to sell one of his stars, but rumours suggest the Villa has been offered to the likes Chelsea and Manchester City to raise cash for Fabregas. The Spanish striker arrived at the Camp Nou for £34m last summer. I’m not exactly sure how much Barca are hoping to raise by selling him, but if they’re expecting us to pay more than £30m they’re being optimistic, especially for a player that is turning 30 next season.

villa one of the best players in the world,he never lose out on form though being 30, but we need young talented players dat will still contribute a lot in future such as neymar,sanchez,hazard,pastore,lukaku,aguero,modric.so NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to barca for offering us david villa

We dont need another 30 year old striker who also costs a staggering £40m to fund FC Barcelona egotistical domination of Europe by giving them more money to fund their campaign and kitty. Villa is a great striker with a lot of goals and a good goal percentage, but the fact of the matter is we need youth. I have nothing against Barcelona, but they already have all of Europes best and also the best player in the world by the name of Lionel Messi.
Barcelona needs £40m more to get either Giuseppe de Rossi or Cesc Fabregas, because they cannot buy another player unless they sell one of their own. So i am pleading to Chelsea not to buy Villa. To make things worst Barcelona are less than 24 hours away from signing Sanchez. Looking at both Sanchez and Messi on either wings will make Barcelona an unstoppable attack force, that spells danger for all of Europe elites defenses including Chelsea’s, whose in need of wingers of their own like Neymar who would be a great addition. I would also consider Hazard, Turan, Marin and Valbuena. Any 2 of these wingers are more than welcome at Stamford Bridge. If we are to be elite we also need to get Rossi before Barcelona does who costs around £30-£35m which is more than affordable. Rossi scored 9 more goals than Villa last season. We should try to get him first before going for Lukaku. We definately need Sneijder who should be our no.1 target at the moment. Getting Van der Wiel for RB will bring a balance to the attack with Ashley at LB.
