Andre Villas-Boas has got to work quickly since arriving at Chelsea in the week and the first significant change at the club is the departure of Paul Clement, who was first team assistant coach.

Clement was the only man to have previously worked under all of Chelsea’s managers during the Roman Abramovich era, but his time at the Stamford Bridge has come to an end, according to the Telegraph.

Villas-Boas, 33, is reportedly keen to make his mark on the club and this seems to be his first real change, with Jose Mario Rocha (fitness coach) and Daniel Sousa (scout), who both worked with him at Porto, are set to join Villas-Boas’ coaching staff in the coming days. Michael Emenalo is set to remain at the club, with rumours of a promotion to a Director of Football role in the news recently.

Paul Clement began work at Chelsea in 1994 when he was appointed to coach the Under-15s, had a six year spell working at Fulham, then returned to the club in 2005 and has remained there in various capacities until recently.
