Guus Hiddink is expected to become the next Chelsea boss as soon as the club can agree a compensation fee with the Turkish FA to release the Dutchman from the final year of his contract, according to The Guardian.
The Stamford Bridge club have already said goodbye to Michael Mancienne and Jacopo Sala, who both signed for Budesliga club Hamburg, but it has also been mooted that Chelsea may offload as many as five senior players this summer as they attempt to rebuild their squad.
Players like Nicolas Anelka, Jose Bosingwa, Yury Zhirkov, Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou, Florent Malouda, Paulo Ferreira, Henrique Hilario etc have all been linked with exits at some point or another, but which five players would you sell in order to make way for new players?
It seems as though the club are keen to move Anelka and Bosingwa on, Zhirkov has publicly stated that he would not rule out a move, which would leave two more. If an offer came in for Drogba, like the £10/11m that was reported from AC Milan, then I think that would be a great deal for both the club and the player. I think a better standard of backup keeper is needed too, so would get rid of Hilario and replace him.
Sell Drogba??? This guy has been in fine form, he carried chelsea on his shoulders when he had malaria during chelsea’s slump. This guy is a living legend at chelsea, if he wants an extention, he must get it because he deserves it. Drogba isn’t going anywhere
I think they’d take an offer as long as they can find a buyer that could meet his wage demands.
Unsure if he’d be happy to be Torres’ backup, but (if signed) Lukaku will.
He has been great for Chelsea, but I believe it’s time for him to go. Onwards and upwards.

Time has taken its toll on Lampard and he’s not the same player that we were all watching a few years ago.
I think we would get much better from him if we don’t use him as much. If we run him ragged by playing him week-in, week-out then nothing changes and we still have a problem.

It’s not really an overhaul though, is it?
Anelka, Zhirkov and Hilario aren’t first choice, which means only two first XI players would be going at the most and that has to happen if you want to make room for new signings.
People want things to change and improve, but fear it when it comes along. One of your favourites might leave, it’s a team, have to do what’s best for the club ahead of the interests of any individuals or the sentimentality attached.

I think we should get rid of the likes of Anelka, Malouda, Kalou, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Benayoun and Zhirkov. We should sign Sneijder(35m)first of all becuase of his aggressive nature and playmaking skills. We need a RB and LB in the name of Gregory van der Wiel(12m)and Turan(12m) who are exceptional talents. We also need Marin(20m)and Hazard(22m)for pace, quickness and great feet.Last but not least Lukaku(20)who will be a good addition to the strikeforce.
