Chelsea beat Premier League relegation strugglers West Ham 3-0 at Stamford Bridge earlier today, with Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres and Florent Malouda getting on the score sheet.

The win took the Blues back within six points of league leaders Manchester United, who in typical jammy fashion scored a late goal to take all three points against Everton after Javier Hernandez headed in the winner in the 84th minute at Old Trafford.

But United still have a few tough fixtures to come and Carlo Ancelotti’s side is keen to keep the pressure on the Red Devils, no matter how slim our league hopes are.

The main talking point after our game today will be the impact of Torres, who came off the bench to score Chelsea’s second goal and assist Malouda with the third. It was great to see what the goal meant to not only Torres, but the rest of the lads and the Stamford Bridge faithful too.

My own opinion is that, .1, mikel obi was the engine room of chelsea and you could see how defencive and distributor he was.2. Wayne bridge has a stone heart. 3. The performance of team are 100% ok.

I agree with the guy above. Mikel has done a good job since coming back into the side and deserves more credit that he’s given. Most natural passer in the midfield.

Torres too his goal brillianty. Was good to see him make one and he almost have Anelka and assist. Nice cameo.

The Torres drought was something of a cloud over the club, but now that’s gone it holds us in good stead for the remainder of games.
