With all the hoo-ha surrounding Fernando Torres and his inability to score for Chelsea, there were reports today that the Blues had a fresh £30 million bid for Brazilian starlet Neymar rejected. Chelsea are clearly stepping up their pursuit of the 19-year-old who has been having some trouble of his own recently.

Brazilian star Neymar was sent off in the most bizarre way during the match between Santos and Colo-Colo. Having already been booked, Neymar scores a brilliant goal and celebrates by picking up a mask of his own face that was left by the side of the pitch. The referee didn’t find this amusing and sent him off.

Here’s Neymar getting sent off for celebrating, what a goal by the way…

Neymar is such a talent and future prospect and I’d love to see him wearing the Chelsea shirt. It is disappointing however to continually hear reports out of Brazil that he ‘now’ wants to either stay at Santos or join Barca? I suppose we will all go through the usual summer torture waiting for any snippets of information as to who we may buy…. I really hate the closed season for that very reason.
