I would not want Carlo Ancelotti replaced by any other manager other than Jose Mourinho. ‘If’ Jose becomes available again I believe that HE feels he has unfinished business with Chelsea. He is simply the most successful manager in Chelsea’s history and there is a special bond between him and the Blues.

I believe Jose is a far more tactically astute manager than Carlo which is something that has been highlighted this season. Football is all about results. Ask most Arsenal fans whether they would rather keep Arsene Wenger or go for Mourinho, even if it meant giving up their pretty football for silverware.

Most Chelsea fans want Jose back although there are some (usually the ones that don’t attend games) that prefer the prettier style of football from their armchairs. If and when you spend your money AND time actually going to games winning comes 1st always. Winning in style is lovely but is definitely secondary.

To those fans that aren’t sure I would simply say, how would you feel if Jose went to City? If he were to then Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal et el could ALL forget the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champions League for the foreseeable future!

Mourinho is the best coach in the World today, in my opinion, and that is what Chelsea NEED again! I so miss the feeling of invincibility when he was our manager and shoving the history books down United’s, Arsenal’s and Liverpool’s throats.

He’s not interested in Chelsea. He’s been buttering up to Red Nose at United for years, wanting his nod to him taking over when Ferguson goes. That’s ALL he wants.
In any case, he would be more full of self-importance than ever if he came back to Chelsea as a “returning Messiah”. Note he only ever talks of what HE did at Chelsea, not what his players achieved. Fine coach, detestable man. Machiavellian is the word, and that’s why he’s been shown the door once already. A sly charmer and manipulator who knows how to play the mob.

In the Premiership (where Jose himself has recently said that he wishes to return to) there are ONLY two clubs for him, Chelsea and City. He has NOT been ‘buttering up’ to Fergie as you describe, only beating Fergie with HIS (Jose’s) team at every opertunity. Fergie is going no where for the next few seasons and Jose knows it so that rather dispels that myth. Also, United do not have the funds to buy the players that Jose would want to bring in to establish a team as HIS team, which he would want to do. How much have United spent on players in the last few windows since Jose has gone? Peanuts is the answer and another important reason why he WON’T go to United. That and the latest catastrophic debt figures coming out of the Glazier camp.

Don’t play the “I spend money” card. Do you know what a lifetime of spending money on Chelsea pays for? I’ll tell you.
Add up EVERY ticket cost you’ve ever paid for. Every single one, over all the years. Then add ALL your travel expenses – trains, bus, planes, petrol, be sure to include EVERY PENNY. Then add in drinks and food at games, replica shirts, programmes and ANYTHING ELSE you can think of. Add it ALL together. Years of expenditure… let’s see the total.
THEN… I’ll tell you without any remote fear of contradiction… ALL the money you have spent in a lifetime of support, even if you’ve seen every game for the last thirty years, ALL OF IT, has not even paid for THREE MISERABLE DAYS OF FERNANDO TORRES’ SALARY. Sad.

    • Alan Frank says:

“Don’t play the ‘I spend money’ card”…. and your point is?………… I play the real fan card or as you loosely put it ‘I spend money’ card, as I, like every other ‘paying’ Chelsea fan feel that we have at least shown that we are fully prepared to back our support with our hard earned, time and effort. There is nothing wrong with armchair supporters but when I turn up to watch Chelsea (in all locations in this country and abroad with the commitment and expenses you so elequently listed), I am firstly looking for my team to win. Its fabulous when we play well AND win but if we play badly and win that is still ok with me and the number of friends and acquaintances i often travel with.
As far as players phenominal salaries are concerned you seem to have a vivid imagination as to how a clubs finances actually work. Of course my pittance wouldn’t pay for Carlo’s suits but as he is earning £6m pa I feel my ‘pittance’ of a contribution gives me a right to hold an opinion as to who should do his job at my club. There is nothing ‘sad’ about how Torres’ or anyone elses salaries are funded but rather a case of the clubs wealthy owner and the fiscal dynamics of a successful sports club like Chelsea. TV rights, image rights, sponsor ship and a philanthropic owner sets the stage for me and my kind to participate in the audience. I hope this goes some way to answering your somewhat jaundiced view of matters.

fire torres. soft little girl that she is.
liverpool knew enough to flog him off to us.
    worst buy in football history.
not fit to wear our colours or warm the bench…

    • Alan Frank says:

As Roman Abramovich owns the club he is entitled to buy who the hell he pleases. Yes, he paid too much money for Torres but I have a sneaking feeling that certain fans will soon disappear with their unkind comments towards the guy once he starts scoring. You do not become a bad player overnight and given a little time (and in my opinion a good break away from football in the summer), I am sure he will come good for us. I have a theory about Torres which is based on the fact that he has not had a break away from football for over 4 years! Having finished a very hard season for Liverpool where he was flogged to death even if he was carrying a knock, I remember watching him play for Spain in the Confederations Cup in Africa the season before the World Cup. He then went on to another hard season for Liverpool before joining up (injured) with Spain for last summers World Cup finals. The guy must be knackered! He also needs to adapt to Chelsea’s style or have a style of play built around him. With comings and goings this summer and a (hopefully) rested Torres I believe we will see a different player next term. Remember he is also a lot younger than either Didier or Nelks and so Nando is more the future than our 32/33 year old players.

I remember Ramires being panned by the critics in the early part of the season, and the likes of Anelka and Ivanovic didn’t do anything during the early part of their time at Chelsea.

Torres is lacking form and confidence, but his class is undeniable.

The tabloids are having a field day over the fact he hasn’t scored, but when have they ever said anything of note?

  4. a c says:

Our problems are all the “sulkers” that are on our team rite now!! Drogba being the worst! Atleast torres is out there givin his all..drogs def is not..and ancelotti gotta go as well. In the biggest game of the year, he starts yuri instead of maluda and bosigwa, which can’t play good enough d in a ymca lg! We need a major overhaul next year period. Some real wing players that can actually kick it with both feet! Torres ain’t the problem..its lack of talent on the wings and we have no pace at all. Its uneducated fans that think torres should bare all the blame! Why can’t we start torres, drogs and anelka at once? King Luiz not playing in the CLA doesn’t help either

  5. Jose is good but we dont need he,jose cant spend more 2year in a club, jose will like to used most of our overrated players like cole, lampard ,drogba..we need dutch coach who can play yound player and also drop lampard

we need wingers in the team, malouda is too slow,no skillful players at chelsea, just a bunch of dry guys who just pass and run with d ball.nothing is spectacular about my club chelsea.i’m jealous when i look at united’s flank even with dia weak squad wen i see nani and valencia its way beta dan ours.we dnt hav any fast player lyk arsenal hav in walcott.very dry team with a coach who is nt tactically sound.winning just 1league title in 8yrs at milan!wow wat a record, roman brought him to win d cl title..we’re still waiting.a coach who was busy saying d bad moment will come wen we were flying high in earlier in d season instead of lookin for a way to make sure d bad moment dose’nt arrive.i hav many things to say about dis club dat makes angers me.BUT I WILL ALWAYS KTBFFH.

Getting Mourinho back to Chelsea is more important than getting any player to Chelsea. It will bring immediate success, massive media attention (which is good for sponsors), and reunite two football essentials: financial punch (Abramovich) and coaching genius. Abramovich is a man of ambition. If he thinks Mourinho can get the results he will make the move…a move most Chelsea fans would go crazy for.
