Chelsea could turn their attentions towards Napoli striker Edinson Cavani if they fail in their attempt to sign Brazilian target Neymar, who has been on the Blues’ wish list for some time.
Many English fans will recognise the 24-year-old as part of an impressive attacking trio for Uruguay during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, along with Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan.
Since the summer the stock of Cavani has risen further still as he has enjoyed a prolific season in Italy’s Serie A, where he is joint-top goal scorer with 25 goals, which include a hat-trick during Napoli’s 4-3 win over Lazio last weekend.
With Didier Drogba expected to leave the club in the summer after the arrival of £50m signing Fernando Torres, Chelsea could be in the market for another striker.

Torres like Drogba is an out and out lone striker and needs supplying by an old fashioned inside forward type. The type of player that can play around him or on the wing. Its why the Spaniard always plays so well with David Villa. Either Aguero or my particular favourite Sanchez would do a far better job for him than Edinson Cavani IMHO. I was also very impressed by the Brazilian Lucas (not the Liverpool Lucas) that came on in the recent Brazil v Scotland game at the Emirates. He could play with Torres very well as he also fits the criteria (from the small amount I have seen of him).

Chelsea should sign de bryune,ganso,neymar, hazard,
turan. Now with all these players chelsea could put forth an extremly strong and talented set of players if one considers the availability of josh , kakuta ,
piazon. All these three youngsters are expected to be the future Superstars of their respective national teams and not even the famed arsenal or Man u have young players of these quality.Further if chelsea try to sign the above mentioned players they need not spend a lot of money like 170 million in one transfer season.
