Chelsea drew their 2008 final opponents Manchester United in today’s Champions League quarter-final draw and have a chance to get revenge for their penalty shootout loss in Moscow. The last time the pair met in the league there was also some controversy and the Red Devils will also believe they have a score to settle. Also, and rather importantly, Carlo Ancelotti’s side have avoided Barcelona’s half of the draw.
Quarter-final:
Real Madrid v Tottenham
Chelsea v Manchester United
Barcelona v Shakhtar Donetsk
Inter Milan v Schalke
Semi-final:
Inter Milan/Schalke v Chelsea/Manchester United
Real Madrid/Tottenham v Barcelona/Shakhtar Donetsk

Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have struggled for goals in Europe at times this season, but have a slight advantage in hosting the second leg at Old Trafford.
It will be a tough game, but we have unfinished business with United in the European context and it’s not the worst draw we could have had as I’m glad we have avoided both Barcelona and another encounter with Jose Mourinho, who will be bringing his Real Madrid side to London, but against Tottenham.
