Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has cast doubt over his client’s future career at AC Milan, following an interview with Italian TV Channel 7 Gold.

Ibrahimovic had publically announced that he would like to finish his career with the Italian giants but his agent, Mina Raviola, has suggested that the striker might move on before that.

Ibrahimovic is currently at the San Siro, on loan from Barcelona, and has managed 14 goals in 26 appearances for the Serie A side. But the news that he may not be there for much longer has put Premier League clubs, Manchester City and Chelsea on red-alert.

Last summer saw City linked with the Swedish superstar, with wages of £500,000 a week being touted by several sources. Ibrahimovic declined however, because he wanted Champions League football. This season, Roberto Mancini’s men might be able to provide that and the prospect of moving to Manchester might be more appealing for the player.

Chelsea are set to lose Didier Drogba and Solomon Kalou this summer, and will be keen to prove that they are still the Premier League’s big boys when it comes to signing big name players. With Fernando Torres as their only world-class striker, it’s likely that Roman Abramovic will splash the cash this summer and Ibrahimovic could be top of the shopping list.

But let’s not be too hasty! After all, Ibrahimovic still has 5 years remaining on his current contract with Barcelona, and it may be that he feels he can establish himself again at the Catalan giants. He’s one of the world’s great strikers, scoring over 150 goals for 6 different clubs since 1999. To see him in the Premiership with either Chelsea or Manchester City, woulf be a mouth-watering prospect for English football fans.
