Chelsea and Liverpool have built up a rivalry built upon success over the last few years, with tense games both domestically and continentally often proving vital in the context of each other’s season.

Harping back to Luis Garcia’s ghost goal or Steven Gerrard’s famous slip – games between Chelsea and Liverpool almost always bring out a bit of controversy.

The sides clash once again on Tuesday, and this game carries more significance than most. Chelsea are, at present, running away with the Premier League title, and a win against the Reds could put them one step closer – whilst defeat could blow the whole race wide open again once more.
