Chelsea were impressive yesterday against Man City – but one man looked a step above the rest…
After beating the likes of Everton, Man Utd and Tottenham in recent weeks, very few were expecting Chelsea to come back with yet another win against Man City.
After all, the Guardiola-led side have been impressive this season – with a victory against Barcelona seemingly outlining their pedigree ahead of an inevitable title challenge in the Premier League.
However, as so many other teams have in recent weeks, the Guardiola boat was sunk by Antonio Conte’s warship – with every single player looking impressive on Saturday afternoon.
As has so often been the case, though, Diego Costa was a standout figure at the Etihad – with the Spaniard impressing. Not only did he score, but there was a 25 minute period in the 2nd half in which he was absolutely unplayable – and it was his determination that led Chelsea into the lead.
There is no doubting how important Costa is going to be to Conte’s cause this season, and unsurprisingly – the Chelsea fans around the world were absolutely delighted with his performance against the Sky Blues.
