Picking your FanDuel team for this weekend? Then you’re probably deciding which striker is going to get you goals this weekend.

Goals are the most important things in football, but in order to get them, you need a striker who can do more than simply finish. After all, what good is finishing ability if you’re not in a position to finish?

And that’s where Chelsea’s game against Burnley could be won and lost this weekend.

Take Liverpool last week: they had over 80% of the possession and still lost the game. It was the highest possession percentage for a losing team in the Premier League since Opta began counting. That had a lot to do with movement and their ability to break Burnley’s defence down.

Chelsea will have the same problems against Burnley. Sean Dyche’s team are a well-drilled unit at the back, they keep their shape and – as Liverpool found to their cost – can take their chances at the other end. The onus will be on Chelsea to break them down.

Chelsea under Conte

In the first two games, Antonio Conte has had to shuffle things around mid-game in order to grind out the win. That quality might be necessary again this weekend.

It was Michy Batshuayi last week who managed to get the leveller against Watford last week before Diego Costa fired home the winner three minutes from time.

With 15 FanDuel points last week for his goal and five for his shot on target, Batshuayi is a finisher pure and simple. But it’s his movement that makes him an asset to Antonio Conte – late on in the game, with Chelsea struggling to break down a stubborn Burnley defence, expect that movement and finishing ability to be a crucial factor.
