As revealed by a recent Active People Survey, the vast majority of UK citizens regularly train for just four events in the form of cycling, football, swimming and running. But what about the 24 other sports that will be present at the XXXI Olympiad next summer?

There are gems hidden in every corner of the UK; from Belfast to Brechin, Coventry to Cardiff. How different Olympic history could be if Phelps, Bolt, Daley and Redgrave never found their vocations.
