Chelsea star Eden Hazard boasts a higher market value than Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a new report by CIES Football Observatory.

The 24-year-old, who scooped PFA Player of the Year last season, is rated at around €148 million – £24m more than Ronaldo, 30.

Unsurprisingly, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi came out on top with an astonishing €280m valuation – almost double what the Belgian is worth.

The world’s most expensive player Gareth Bale, who joined Real Madrid for over €100m less than two years ago, is now only valued at €56m.

Spurs and Liverpool hotshots Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling were also present in the list, with Sterling worth €81m – €23m more than Kane.
