Jose Mourinho will now be fully aware that he can have Juan Cuadrado from Chelsea if he is willing to pay the right price.

Fiorentina have today confirmed that they will sell the Colombian superstar, but only if forced. Like many players in European leagues Cuadrado has a release clause in his contract, that if met the club has to accept.

That fee is £26.2million and if Chelsea want him, that is his price – not a penny lower.

According to Sky Sports, Mourinho did hope that he could loan Mohamed Salah to the Serie A club as part of the deal, however Fiorentina are not interested in that arrangement.

Do you think he would be a good signing? Is he worth that amount of money?

Too much of a gamble at that prices for me, he will probably need time to settle in, new country, new language, much more demanding league etc. January transfers are always a bigger risk with inflated prices. I think its best to wait until the summer and re evaluate then. Also with ramires back to full fitness now and can play in a few different positions, this give us diffetent options aswel.
