Andre Schurrle celebrates with his team-mates

Chelsea:

Petr Cech – 7

For most of the time there was little need for Cech to even be there but he made an important save from Olivier Giroud and didn’t put a foot wrong.

Branislav Ivanovic – 6.5

Solid enough but often guilty of giving away unnecessary fouls. Never stopped running.

Gary Cahill – 7

Seems to thrive alongside John Terry and although the duo were rarely tested today they did what they had to do well.

John Terry – 6.5

Defended well. An easy day for the Chelsea captain.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 8

Has been a real revelation this season despite playing in an unnatural position. One of Chelsea’s better performers of the campaign and has made the left-back spot his own.

Nemanja Matic – 7

What a signing he has been. Solid in the centre and doesn’t give opponents a moments peace.

David Luiz – 7

Should probably be paired alongside Matic for the remaining Premier League matches this season. Energetic performance without the nonsense.

Andre Schurrle – 8

Have had my doubts about the German but have been impressed by his recent performances and attitude. Worked hard, scored and helped make a couple.

Oscar – 7.5

It’s been a little while since we’ve seen the best from the Brazilian, so was nice to see him score a brace. Still capable of more when he hits his stride.

Eden Hazard – 7

Never really has any bad games and although he wasn’t at his incredible best, it was still a good performance and the attacking burden wasn’t all on his shoulders on this occasion.

Samuel Eto’o – 5

Was only on for 10 minutes so hard to judge his performance, but took his goal well and hope his injury isn’t too serious as Chelsea need him.

Subs:

Fernando Torres – 6

Put in a shift but will be disappointed not to have scored during an absolute rout.

Mohamed Salah – 5

Scored the sort of goal he was bought for. His first for the club.

John Obi Mikel – 5

Came on to keep things solid and did just that.

Matic 2 assits should be higher than a 7. Salah should be higher than a 5(maybe a 7 or 8) tracked back and scored, Terry and Ivan should be minimum of 7. Oscar had 2 goals.
