ThorganThorgan Hazard will join his brother Eden in Belgium’s national team as a reward for his form whilst on loan from Chelsea to Zulte-Waregem.

Red Devils coach Marc Wilmots has also selected Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku as well as the Hazards.

Thorgan has come into some praise for his performances for Zulte-Waregem in the Beglian Jupilar Pro League this season and the 20-year-old helped his side to a 2nd-placed finish during the regular season. They are the surprise package in Belgium this season and he can achieve further glory with them if they are successful during the play-off stages of the season, they are currently second to Anderlecht in the championship play-off group and need an away win against them to usurp their spot.

It’s great to see that he has made the most of his spell out on loan and although we must remember to be patient with our young players there is no reason why we won’t see him follow his brother into Chelsea’s first team in the future.

Thorgan put in a virtuoso display during the 5-2 win over Club Brugge on Thursday night as he scored, assisted twice and helped force an own goal (highlights of which you can see below)

Congratulations to the younger Hazard and good luck to him and his Zulte-Waregem side as they meet Anderlecht in a championship decider on Sunday.
