bonyVitesse Arnhem forward Wilfried Bony will be looking for a move this summer with the Premier League being a likely destination, but will Chelsea register their interest?

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for quite some time especially in relation to Chelsea’s relationship with Vitesse and they may have first crack at Bony if they opted to take up on it.

Bony finished top of the Dutch Eredivisie with 31 goals and has attracted the interests of clubs like Liverpool, West Ham and Anzhi Makhachkala, who had reportedly made an approach for the Ivorian at least once before already.

Reports claim that the player will be in England with his agent to speak to several suitors, Chelsea being one of them, as he has already made it clear that he would like to leave Holland and seek a new challenge.

It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that Chelsea decide to dump both Fernando Torres and Demba Ba this summer as neither has particularly impressed, certainly not in the Premier League, and if a big name like Edinson Cavani is on the horizon then Bony could replace Ba as a backup option valued at around £15m. Andre Schurrle’s move also seems a sure thing and despite the German rarely plays at centre forward, we’re told he can and I suppose it would only be an emergency option in any case.

But where would this leave the promising Lukaku?

My guess is that Chelsea see a future with Lukaku but if they cannot give him assurances over playing time that suits him then he will ask for another move, just as he did last summer, and if that’s what keeps him happy then so be it. Regular football has made a big difference already and he’s still very young, so patience could be the key with this one as sitting on the bench too much will only harm his progression.

seems as proficient as aguero, similar size, but has a distinguished brazilian style!

He’s about four or five inches taller than Aguero, I believe.
