Jose Bosingwa’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain as contract talks rumble on but Lazio’s Stefan Radu as a potential replacement for the Portuguese right-back, according to reports.

The 24-year-old has been linked with the Blues before and his agent Victor Becali has refused to rule out a January departure for his client.

Becali, speaking to Italian radio station Mana Mana, said:

“If something interests us in the coming months then we will talk it over. Stefan has renewed his contract but in football you can never take anything as certain.

“I have read that big clubs in England, Spain and France are interested but at the moment I have not spoken to anyone about it.”

As for Bosingwa, his contract ends at the end of the current campaign and despite his insistence that he wants his future to be resolved soon, talks are at an impasse.

Do you think Bosingwa will leave Stamford Bridge this summer and if so, who would you like to see replace him?

What about Greg Van Der Wiel? I hope Chelsea sticks to him, he’s definitely good enuff, plus you can’t just go around unsettling young players all over Europe with rumours of Chelsea interest, it’s just not fair. Van Der Wiel for me.

  2. Chelseaphan says:

NO because Stefan Radu plays as a left back! and Bosingwa is a right back see the difference?

I know. so many sites have been saying this rubbish but the only place he’d be after is Ashley Cole’s! How hard is it to check which foot a guy is best with? He’s only played LB ALL his pro career!

The lack of professionalism in the footy media is becoming a joke as if I’d made similar errors as a rookie reporter on our local free sheet I’d have been sacked on the spot. There’s no excuse for either the reporter or the sub editor to miss factual errors as bad as this.

As for Radu? I think he’s a good LB but he’s a couple of years older than Bertrand who, imho, is capable of being Cole’s long term replacement having impressed with EVERY loan he’s had. Blood the home grown and save the money. Ryan was pretty good against Fulham the other week and looked fit for the 120 minutes he played despite marking their best and most lively player on the night. I don’t see the need for another LB when we have more pressing issues. VdW at RB would seem better money spent to this observer.

I support the motion, if bosingwa decide to go then chelsea should leave him and go for Greg Van Der Wie cus his still as fresh at the age of 22yrs old… As far as me concern I support the motion to sell bosingwa or and go for another) or chelsea will lack) for the rest of the season!!!!

  5. Sunak says:

Yes let bosingwa out and van der wiel in because van der wiel is a future player for chelsea

  6. Emma Batixta says:

Personally, i dont wanna see bosingwa at stamford bridge next season. ivanovic…luiz…terry…and cole will be a good back four for us. Then van da weil on the bench.

  7. Liam says:

Bosingwa has been Chelsea’s best player this season along with Ramires. Why would you want to let him go.His pace and attacking ability is vital
in the way AVB wants to play.

  8. Bluekid says:

Liam bosingwa is a right back not a foward, he often over-laps without d pace to cover back, he isnt good on a one-on-one situation so he should go and vander wiel in

  9. Romeo says:

Bosingwa should leave he is not good defensively.we need van dar weil

  10. Ohioze says:

Jose is poor defensively,he is only good in attaking which is favouring him at chelsea.he should leave bridge at d end of d summer
