Chelsea look set to offer Tottenham Hotspur one final deal for their star player Luka Modric.

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea will offer Spurs £30m for their wantaway playmaker who has made it clear that he would like to leave White Hart Lane for Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is so concerned about the player’s mental state that Modric has been left out of the squad to face Manchester United in tonight’s Premier League match.

This would signal that a deal could yet be on the cards despite Spurs’ stubborn resistance to sell which has included knocking back two previous offers of £22m and £27m.

On Saturday, Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun was linked to Tottenham as part of the deal that would see Modric join the Blues.
