Andre Villas-Boas, who is widely expected to take over at Chelsea after quitting his job as Porto manager, will target striker Radamel Falcao as his first signing.

Falcao, who has also been linked to Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Arsenal, scored the winner for Porto in the UEFA Cup Final against Braga which sealed an impressive treble for Villas-Boas.

According to the Daily Mail, Villas-Boas will approach his former club for the servives of Falcao and may have to pay anything around £26m to get the forward to Chelsea.

Villas-Boas himself is believed to have paid the £13.2m release clause in his Porto contract in order to be free to join Chelsea.

i realy wish hiddick could be his no.2 that would be great considering he is only 33.personally i dont think that much of falcao he is too much rough and tumble for me id like chelsea to bring in more finess players like neymar, parstone, modric, sanchez e.t.c

      Rough and tumble? :/

I don’t see him as that sort of forward. Drogba is a back-to-goal type striker, but Falcao isn’t like that at all and Porto had an expressive attack, a style which Villas-Boas prefers.

Welcome back to Chelsea Andre. Since your getting £80m to build your own team. I would definitely recommend you to get your players together right away by putting an iron fist down and be the big man in the dressing room. Its your words over theirs because your the one running the team, not them. First of all, lets start from the back. We need a RB. Van der Wiel(£10m) would be the ideal guy for this position. He got speed just like Bosingwa and can defend which Bosingwa lacked. So the starting backline would be VDW,Luiz,Terry and Cole.
Now we go to the midfield where it can get a pretty bit tricky. We need two wingers and a creative midfielder. Hazard(£20m) would be an ideal choice over the right hand side since Sanchez is on his way to Barcelona. Although Essien had an under season he would be the one in the holding midfield area over Mikel. That lefts the left hand side. Neymar(£35m)or Turan(£13m) would be an ideal option. Either of them are good enough to create, score, speed, trickery and decision making.
Then there’s the creative midfield position in which we need to find the best option out of many on the market and i thick we need to convince (£35m) rated Sneijder to come to the Bridge by surrounding him with quality players in which he knows he can win titles with. Other options are Hamsik(£22m) and Nasri(£20m). The midfield would be Hazard,Essien,Neymar/Turan and either Sneijder/Hamsik/Nasri behind the strikers. Then there’s the strike dept. No.1 option is Lukaku. But my heart says Giuseppe Rossi(£26m) or Falcao(£26m) at this moment just because their proven goalscorers that are both tried at the Europa League stages and performed by going to the semi-final and final respectively. So the frontline is G.Rossi or Falcao with Sturridge.
    Starting XI
    ——-Cech——-
    VDW(£10m),Luiz,Terry,Cole
    Hazard,Essien,Neymar(£35m)
    —-Sneijder(£35m)——
Rossi(£26m),Sturridge(Rossi would be my dream pick but realistically it looks more like Falcao(£26m)right now who just as good in the goal scoring dept).
That’s £96m well spent and dont forget we haven’t started the clearance sale as yet which would amount up to £60m. So we are well covered to spend about £36m which will not hurt us, although we spent £75m in january.
    Bosingwa(£12m)
    Ferreira(Free)
    Zhirkov(£15m)
    Benayoun(£5m)
    Malouda(£10m)
    Kalou(8m)
    Anelka(£10m)
    Total=£60m
