With reports that Neymar will favour a move to Real Madrid, Chelsea may have to turn their attentions elsewhere and could make a late entry into the chase for Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez.

Barcelona were favourites to sign the Chilean and he was up for a move to the Camp Nou, but Manchester City have reportedly trumped the Catalonians’ bid, and we all know that they are trying to stick to a strict £40m budget despite being interested in several big money signings.

Apparently, Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo is yet to accept either Barca’s or the Citizens’ offers, which hasn’t gone unnoticed at Stamford Bridge, and according to El Mundo Deportivo, the Blues have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old.

However, the Serie A outfit’s valuation of the player is very high, a reported £44/45m, if we aren’t willing to pay that for Neymar, will we be willing to for Sanchez?

Chelsea are also linked with other big money targets, such as Radamel Falcao and Hulk, who played for Andre Villas-Boas at Porto.
