Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge is set to join Owen Coyle’s Bolton Wanderers on loan, according to BBC Sport, which many believe could make room for Liverpool’s Fernando Torres at Stamford Bridge.

It would be doubtful that the Blues will let the 21-year-old striker go without any signings coming in the other way, as the Chelsea squad is already lacking the sort of depth they boasted in previous seasons, with Michael Ballack, Joe Cole, Deco, Juliano Belletti and Ricardo Carvalho all departing the club last summer.

For Sturridge the move would only be a positive one as I believe he is a talent who will benefit from more first team football. I hope that Coyle and Bolton will help the forward develop like they did for Jack Wilshere.

Do you think a Bolton loan will be good for Daniel Sturridge?
